After studying at a US university, he managed European sales subsidiaries of a major semiconductor manufacturing company and structured and sold financial products at an overseas financial institution. In 2010, he spun out with his colleague Willem and founded Opti Corporation on November 11, 2010.
He has worked for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and other organizations, providing consulting services on European VAT and writing tax articles.
In 2012, he acquired the primary distributor rights in Japan for "OneSource" (currently D&B Hoovers), a corporate database developed by Avention Inc. of the U.S. On January 10, 2013, he established OneSource Japan Inc. as a group company. In 2016, he was appointed as Japan Country Manager of Tax Back International, Inc. He has experience in exiting several companies.

AFTER QUALIFYING AS A VAT INSPECTOR AT THE DUTCH MINISTRY OF FINANCE, HE WORKED FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS ON VAT ISSUES AT A LARGE FOUR-COUNTRY ACCOUNTING FIRM. HE THEN WORKED AS A PARTNER AT A LARGE ACCOUNTING FIRM BEFORE JOINING LOVENDAL MASAI. HE LATER SPUN OUT WITH FUCHIGAMI AND HELPED ESTABLISH OPTI CO. HE HAS EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN CONSULTING ON SUPPLY CHAIN OPTIMIZATION AND ERP IMPLEMENTATION USING HIS KNOWLEDGE OF EUROPEAN VALUE-ADDED TAX. HE PROVIDES TAX CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE GERSON LEHMANN GROUP, A GLOBAL PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION, AND IS A MEMBER OF THE VAT PACKAGE 2010 FORUM. HE IS CEO OF OPTI B.V. AND A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF OPTI CORPORATION.

After completing a master's degree at Keio University's Graduate School of Media and Governance, he joined mixi, Inc. where he was engaged in big data analysis and product planning and development in the Planning Department. After that, he worked on new business development and social media planning and development at the Media Business Division of GREE, Inc, He was engaged in new business development, social media planning, and iOS application planning and development at the Media Division of GREE, Inc. In 2015, he joined Opti, Inc. In 2015, he joined Opti, Inc. and OneSource Japan, Inc.
